When our company's co-founders Jack and Martha ("Marty") Lentz first started PostalAnnex in 1985, they filled a need out of necessity. At the time, Jack was running a consulting business out of his home. Having the problem of never finding the business services he needed without doing a lot of driving, he figured the time was right to start a company which offered a one-stop shopping solution for small and home-based business. In the many years since, we are very proud of the business Jack and Marty developed and that we have grown into. At PostalAnnex, we offer our customers convenience, exceptional service and to be their problem solver. We train our franchisees to be experts at what they do; we are all here to serve our customers.
I realize in looking into businesses there are many choices. As we have grown over the years, our goal at PostalAnnex was never to be the biggest, but always to be the best. The service we strive to give our customers is the same service we give in support of our PostalAnnex franchise owners.

Chief Executive Officer and President
Annex Brands, Inc.
Patrick has been with Annex Brands since March 1991, starting with the company as Director of Finance and Administration. Subsequently, he was named the Company's Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
In 2004, he was promoted to the position of President while retaining the title of CFO. In May, 2018, Patrick was promoted to Chief Executive Officer, retaining the positions of president and chief financial officer. His primary responsibilities include the day-to-day operational management of the company.
Patrick studied at San Diego State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration as an Accounting Major. After college, he earned his certification to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the state of California (inactive).
Prior to his service at Annex Brands, Patrick spent four years with the international accounting firm of Touche Ross & Co. (currently known as Deloitte & Touche), primarily as a financial auditor, specializing in savings and loans, construction, broker dealers, mortgage banking, insurance and real estate.
After Touche Ross & Co., Patrick spent three years as CFO of one of its clients in the hospitality industry before joining Annex Brands.
Patrick is a member of Financial Executives International and in 2009 was awarded the designation of Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) by the International Franchise Association in recognition of his knowledge and experience in the franchising industry.
Patrick's community outreach includes currently serving as Chairperson for St Paul's Senior Services' Operating Board after having served several years in various volunteer capacities with the organization. St Paul's Senior Services (est. 1960 as a full-service, non-profit retirement community) provides homes and care in a non-denominational environment to generations of San Diego's senior citizens while addressing the varied social, physical, spiritual, ethnic, econonomic, and cultural needs of those served.
Steve joined the Company as a PostalAnnex+ Franchisee in 2000 before moving over to the Home Office in 2006 as Director of Marketing Communications. He was promoted to Vice President of Marketing Communications in April, 2007, to Senior Vice President in April, 2016, and to Executive Vice President & Chief Brand Officer in August, 2018.
Steve's current responsibilities are to market the PostalAnnex+, Pak Mail, AIM Mail Center, Parcel Plus, Sunshine Pack & Ship, Navis Pack & Ship, Handle With Care Packaging Store and Annex Copy Center brands, products and services for both the Company and the Franchisees through a variety of means including advertising, public relations, marketing materials and Web presence. He is responsible for the internal and external communication and coordination to ensure a positive customer experience at any one of Annex Brands' locations.
Before joining the Company, he worked at a discount clothing retailer and a quick-service food company in various finance, accounting and marketing analysis positions.
Steve studied at San Diego State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 in Business Administration with a major in Marketing and a minor in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. In 1987, he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a Marketing major. He is a charter member of SDSU's Marketing Department Advisory Board and has served as its chair since 2012.
In 2009, he was awarded the designation as a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) by the International Franchise Association for his knowledge and experience in the franchising industry. In 2012, Steve was awarded two Emmys
His service to the community includes being elected in 2016 and re-elected in 2020 to serve as one of five City Councilmembers in the City of El Cajon, CA (a charter city incorporated in 1912 in eastern San Diego County, with approximately 105,000 residents).
Sean has been with Annex Brands since November 1991, starting with the Company as a store manager. Subsequently, he was promoted to Vice President of Franchise Services.
In 2006, he was elevated to the position of Senior Vice President and in April, 2016 to his current position of Executive Vice President with responsibility for strategic planning, training, store buildouts, vendor relations and Franchisee support.
Sean studied at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Psychology. Immediately after college, he spent two years as a professional cyclist before beginning his career in the industry as a manager of a retail mail and parcel center.
In 2008, the International Franchise Association awarded Sean the industry's designation as a Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) for his knowledge and experience in the franchising industry.
Ryan joined Annex Brands in 2002 in a franchise sales and development capacity, working with prospective owners seeking to join the franchise network.
Subsequently, Ryan was promoted to Franchise Development Manager in 2006, to Director of Franchising in 2007, to Executive Director in 2012, and in 2016 became a corporate officer with his promotion to Vice President of Franchising. In 2018 he was promoted to Senior Vice President of Franchising, and in 2020 added oversight in Marketing with his promotion to Senior Vice President of Franchising & Marketing.
Ryan's responsibilities are to develop and expand the franchise systems of Annex Brands, Inc. worldwide, both through internal unit growth and also in assisting in the evaluation of external acquisition opportunities as they present themselves. He also assists in overseeing the Real Estate & Leasing function.
Ryan studied at the University of California at San Diego, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy. Prior to joining the Company, he worked in a career placement firm, assisting people transitioning from military service into positions with Fortune 500 firms.
In February, 2011, Ryan was awarded the designation of Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) from the International Franchise Association for his demonstration of knowledge and experience in the franchising industry. Ryan also has earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America.
MaryAnn has been with Annex Brands since 1993, having started in an administrative capacity and eventually rising to the position of Executive Coordinator.
In 2005, she was promoted to Director of Compliance, in November, 2012 to Executive Director of Compliance, and in June, 2015 became a corporate officer with her promotion to Vice President of Franchise Compliance. In November, 2019 she was promoted to her current title of Senior Vice President of Franchise Compliance.
Her duties include ensuring the Company's compliance with franchise investment laws, managing franchise registration renewals and updates, and coordinating franchise resale transactions.
In February, 2013, Mary Ann earned the designation of Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) as presented by the International Franchise Association for her knowledge and experience in the franchising industry.
Chris started with Annex Brands in 2007 as a Franchise Placement Specialist. In 2014, he was promoted to Director of Real Estate & Leasing, in 2018 to Executive Director of Real Estate & Leasing, and to his current position as Vice President of Real Estate & Leasing in November, 2020.
His latest promotion not only recognized his continued contributions but also the importance of the real estate support function by elevating it to a corporate officer level for the first time in the Company's history.
Chris oversees site development for new franchise locations, supports existing franchisees in lease negotiations and issues, and assists with franchise financing.
In 1998, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Virginia Tech University. Chris also earned his California Real Estate Broker's License in 2015 (DRE #01883940). Prior to joining Annex Brands, he worked at another company in the shipping and business services industry, overseeing the launch of new corporate accounts for the franchise network.
Chris has been awarded the Certified Franchise Executive ("CFE") designation by the International Franchise Association, recognizing his knowledge and experience in the franchise industry. His service to the community includes volunteering as a youth soccer coach as well as involvement with the Special Olympics of San Diego.
TanaSue started at Annex Brands in June, 2012 as the Director of Accounting. In 2018, this native San Diegan was promoted to Executive Director of Finance & Controller.
Promoted again in November, 2020, she is now the Vice President of Finance. She is the first woman to hold this position in the Company's history.
TanaSue oversees the design, implementation, and supervision of all accounting functions and systems for Annex Brands. Her department assists both commercial and retail brands with franchise accounting, including the set-up of individual location financial systems and their reporting functions.
TanaSue earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an Accounting major from the University of Phoenix in June, 2003. Continuing her education, she earned a Master of Business Administration degree in 2006 from the same university.
In October 2015, TanaSue earned her license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") from the State of California. In February, 2017, TanaSue was awarded the designation of Certified Franchise Executive ("CFE") from the International Franchise Association in recognition of her knowledge and experience in the franchising industry.
Before joining Annex Brands, TanaSue held various positions in a quick-service franchise restaurant system including Training Manager and Area Manager. She also worked at a local real estate development firm in various accounting positions.
